Thank you to our alumnae and their families who participated in our first alumnae Homecoming Hayride and Bonfire on Sunday, October 16, 2016. It was great weather and great company! We look forward to hosting "s'more" events like this for you in the future.
On June 9th, more than 25 alumnae gathered in the auditorium for our very first paint night, hosted by the Alumnae Association. Participants ranged from the class of 2013 back to the class of 1967. Step by step instructions were provided so that every artist could create their own painting of the Rockford Tower.
20th Annual Jim Keegan Golf Classic
We celebrated this milestone year at a new location, the DuPont Country Club, and added a Round-Robin tennis tournament. President Cathie Field Lloyd welcomed our guests and honorary chairman, Jim Keegan, opened the outing with a prayer. Over 115 golfers, 20 tennis players, sponsors and guests were able to enjoy the beautiful weather, a hearty barbeque buffet dinner, silent auction, and raffle prizes, all in the name of raising money for Ursuline financial aid. We wish to thank all our sponsors, volunteers, staff, and even Mother Nature for a lovely outdoor event!
2016 Alumnae Reunion
On Friday, April 15th, over 80 Ursuline Alumnae from Delaware to California to the United Arab Emirates gathered at the University and Whist Club for our Blast from the Past Cocktail Reception. Classmates enjoyed flipping through yearbooks, posing in our interactive photo booth, and reminiscing about old times. We were so excited to be celebrating with members of our milestone classes, our graduates that were 6’s and 1’s, including our newest Golden Graduations who were celebrating 50 years, the Class of 1966. On Saturday, April 16th, over 100 Ursuline Alumnae gathered in prayer for mass in our Ursuline Convent, presided by Fr. Edward Ogden. Graduates graciously participated as candle bearers, readers, and gift bearers. Immediately following a beautiful ceremony, classmates gathered in the gymnasium for a celebratory luncheon. Congratulations to our honorees, Margaret Tigue, Class of ’51 and recipient of the Angela Boyle Service Award, and Allison Jablonski, Class of 2020, our recipient of the Alumnae Scholarship. Special thanks to our alumnae vendors: Petal Pushers for our gorgeous flowers, Appleton Caterers for our delicious meal, and Cupcake Heaven for our yummy cookie favors. Ursuline Blood Drive & St. Patrick's Center Donations
Thank you to all our Alumnae who came back to Ursuline to donate! On February 13th, we invited alumnae to cheer on our Raiders at their basketball game against St. Marks. They generously donated men’s items to benefit the St. Patrick’s Center. On February 22nd, alumnae returned to donate blood at the Ursuline Blood Drive. Thank you to our Student Council Moderator, Kathleen Mesa Corbino '84, and the members of student council who helped organize this life-saving event.
Back to UA Day
On Monday, January 4, we welcomed our newest alumnae, some members of the Class of 2015, to Ursuline for "Back to UA Day." This annual luncheon invites our recent graduates to gather with our current senior class and share their first semester college experiences. Topics covered included dorm life, playing a sport in college, dealing with homesickness, juggling a college workload, and more. It was a very informative discussion for everyone!
