Tuition Assistance

Over 50% of our current families participate in our Tuition Assistance Program, designed to make an Ursuline education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Ursuline is proud to use the Clarity platform to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, including assets, income, expenses, and debts.

To get started, visit the Clarity website and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is also mobile-friendly so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit, and you can share your application with additional schools that accept the Clarity Application for no additional charge. Simply use the dropdown menu in the application to select those schools.

Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as Ursuline may require additional tax documentation for families who own their own businesses. You will be prompted in the application if this applies to your family.

The deadline for completing the financial aid application including relevant supplemental documents is December 1. Applications will continue to be accepted after this date but are subject to the availability of funds.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206.210.3752 in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

See the quick reference guides below for helpful information on completing the application.

LISTER FAMILY SCHOLARship

IN HONOR OF NORMAN & PATRICIA KRAUSS

  • Freshman year tuition and all entry fees
  • A new laptop
  • Uniform Stipend
  • Global Education Program Scholarship
  • Highest level of scholarship offered by UA for sophomore through senior year

The Lister Family Scholars Program will reward and inspire academic achievement while recognizing students who are dedicated to the values of leadership and service. This scholarship program has been established in Norman and Patricia’s honor by their daughter Melinda Krauss Lister from Ursuline Academy’s Class of 1992, her husband Christopher, and their children John, Madelyn, Olivia, and Amelia. This scholarship will be awarded to one of the top candidates applying for admission to Ursuline Academy’s Upper School each year.

Norman Krauss, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with degrees in Chemistry(’57) and Chemical Engineering (’58), spent most of his career at E.I. Dupont in Wilmington. Norman was the first Parish Council President of the Church of the Holy Child Parish and worked closely with then-Bishop Thomas J. Mardaga and then-Pastor Charles W. Paris to build the Church on Naamans Road. Patricia, a long-time 5th grade teacher at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, was a consistent volunteer at Ursuline Academy. She was an active member of Holy Child Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary and treasured her time with the Ursuline Sisters. Norman and Patricia were firm believers in the power of Catholic education. Their seven children were educated in Catholic schools, and all four daughters graduated from Ursuline Academy.
